How articles on this site are made
This page exists so you can judge what you read here.
AI assistance is used, and disclosed
Articles are researched and drafted with AI assistance, then reviewed and edited before publishing. This is not hidden in a footer. Every article on the site is produced this way unless it says otherwise.
What this site does not claim
Articles here do not claim personal cooking history that did not happen. You will not find invented stories about family members, restaurants visited, or dishes tested twenty times. Where an article expresses a view — that one method is better than another, that a shortcut is worth taking — it is presented as a view, not as a memory.
Earlier versions of some articles on this site did include invented personal anecdotes. Those have been removed. If you find one that was missed, please tell me.
How claims are checked
Cooking explanations are grounded in mechanism — what heat, acid, salt, fat and time actually do to an ingredient — and checked against established food science and reputable culinary sources. Ratios, temperatures and timings are given specifically wherever a specific number is defensible.
Where methods genuinely differ by region or household, articles say so instead of presenting one version as the correct one.
Images
Photographs on this site are illustrative. They are not photographs of food cooked for the article.
Nutrition and health
Nothing on this site is medical or dietary advice. Nutritional figures are not published unless they have been calculated, and calorie counts are not estimated by eye.

Corrections
Errors get corrected rather than quietly deleted. If a correction changes the substance of an article, it will be noted on the page.
